Why am I seeing a Windows warning?

OddsGuard is currently in early access testing. We are in the process of obtaining our official Microsoft code-signing certificate. Until the certificate is issued, Windows Defender SmartScreen will display a security warning when you run the installer.

This is completely normal for new software that has not yet been signed with a certificate. The warning will no longer appear once our certificate is in place.

If you have any concerns, feel free to contact our team or scan the installer with your preferred antivirus software before proceeding.

Handling the SmartScreen Warning

When you run the installer, Windows will show a SmartScreen warning. Here's exactly what to do — watch the interactive demo or follow the steps below.

Common Questions

Is OddsGuard safe to install?

Yes. OddsGuard is built by a registered company and the installer is distributed through our official website only. The SmartScreen warning appears solely because our code-signing certificate is still being processed.

Will the warning go away?

Yes. Once we receive our official Microsoft code-signing certificate, the SmartScreen warning will no longer appear. Future updates will also be signed automatically.

What if I don't see "More info"?

On some Windows configurations the "More info" text is a clickable link below the main warning message. Look for underlined blue text. If you still can't find it, try right-clicking the installer and selecting "Run as administrator".

Can I verify the download?

Absolutely. You can scan the installer with any antivirus software before running it, or contact us for the file hash to verify the download integrity.
